As said in the previous post, Wanie, Sarah, Mek Jah and me are now officially tenants of the 27th house on Jalan 18/18. Not as if we can’t apply a place in one of the in-campus accomodations but it’s just not something new to experience. Now at least I can tick off one more thing of my list of What-To-Do-Before-Graduating-With-My-Degree. Ahh… I feel a little bit grown up now =p
We rented out two rooms but it seems like we rented out the whole place to ourselves. Other than the two rooms, we can use the kitchen, the things that’s in the kitchen(inclusive of the food), the toilets(obviously, kan?), the washing machine and tv at any time we want. Plus, we get free facials and massages.
You would think we would’ve paid a fortune for all that. Wrong! We only have to fork out RM84/month which includes the bills. *Gasp* I know! We’re lucky aren’t we? RM 420/each for the whole semester. I think it’s about the same amount that we have to pay if we were to stay inside.
The perks of not staying inside campus? No curfew. No crummy food. No need to fight for TV. No need to que just to shower. And definitely, no radio blasting in the middle of the night.
The downside? No internet(because I’m to lazy to set an account =p). No Astro(which, supprisingly, I can live without).
Nenek(the old lady who owns the house) is growing to our likeness, as well. She’s a bit of a chatterbox and makes us laugh everyday. She has no problem if any of us would want to go out at night but she would want us to be home safe as soon as possible. It’s kind of having your grandmother living with you but she is also like a friend. I like her better than my own grandmother but don’t tell Opah about that. Ok?
